Last night, we brought together a community of founders, executives, and operators to explore how technology, data science, and longevity research are quietly rewriting the playbook for modern beauty brands. Moving far beyond traditional booking apps or simple e-commerce storefronts, our discussions highlighted a fundamental shift across the industry: the convergence of holistic efficacy, intelligent supply chains, and hyper-personalized consumer experiences.

Our first conversation centered on where ingestible science meets tech-enabled experiences. Moderated by our Executive Director of Public Relations, Dora Williams, the panel reframed what "beauty tech" actually means in today's market. Naomi Whittel, founder of OMI WellBeauty, emphasized that building a lasting brand requires shifting consumers away from transactional, one-off purchases toward sustainable, science-backed wellness routines. She explained how OMI leverages clinical evidence, targeted formulations, and routine tracking to transform one-time shoppers into long-term subscribers, significantly boosting customer lifetime value. Complementing this focus on customer retention, David Goldweitz shared how Glamsquad introduced AI to its booking platform to empower independent beauty artists. By implementing hyper-personalized client-to-pro matching, Glamsquad has not only reduced client churn and built deeper brand loyalty, but also uncovered critical margin gains within on-demand service logistics.

Transitioning from customer experience to back-end innovation, our second panel examined how AI is transforming product development, trend identification, and margin protection behind the scenes. Moderated by Humphrey Ho, Managing Director & Partner at Helios & Partners, the conversation focused on bridging knowledge and operational arbitrage to build resilient, high-valuation beauty companies. Mark Nguyen kicked off the session by showing how predictive AI and social sentiment mining on platforms like TikTok and Instagram allow brands to catch emerging niche trends long before they go viral—enabling teams to formulate, launch, and capitalize on consumer demand in a matter of weeks rather than traditional multi-month cycles.

Expanding on this speed-to-market, Patrick Pan (L’Oréal, Therabody, Product.ai, X-Lab) illustrated how predictive algorithms, vertical integration, and intelligent supply chains work together to rapidly take an emerging consumer sentiment from concept to commercial success. However, as Ahmed Mirza from Cartweel pointed out, rapid launches mean little without smart execution. Ahmed demonstrated how brands can use promotion planning platforms and forecasting tools to bridge the gap between initial online hype and sustainable, high-margin retail performance as they scale.

An evening like this would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors. A huge thank you to First Citizens Innovation Banking for their ongoing commitment to supporting founders pushing technological boundaries, and to The Well Network for fostering powerful connections across the beauty and wellness ecosystems.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, asked insightful questions, and made the night so engaging. Keep an eye out for details on our next gathering!
